Join us at the family friendly Cookie Creation Station which features “Cookies with the Tulip Queen and her Court” from 1-3 p.m. — fun for all ages!

• HATAS is Albany County New York's gateway to public emergency shelter. Every homeless individual and family seeking shelter comes through our front door.
• New episodes of Albany County family homelessness have increased over 185% since 2000
• Last year we served more than 5,000 people. Over 1,500 were children.

You Might Be Surprised That . . .

• We do much more than help people who are homeless. Hundreds of other low-income people and people with disabilities come to us each year for advocacy, training, counseling, and case management.
• When people call, we always answer. We have an emergency phone line that operates 24-7, every day of the year.
• Most of the people we serve are women and children.
• We can help people in crisis before they lose their homes.
• We bring domestic violence education out into the community.
