Our Work, Leadership & Investors
Everything that we do at the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society seeks to prevent, reduce, and combat homelessness.
Formed in 1927, the mission of HATAS is to provide immediate relief and long-term solutions for the most vulnerable members of our community by preventing, reducing, and combatting homelessness within the New York Capital Region.
In one word, HATAS is Housing. Housing in the short term through our 24-hour Emergency Homeless Housing Program, housing in the medium term through our rapid re-housing program, and housing in the long term through our supported housing program.
